Patriots Clinch Undefeated League Season 10-0 Earn #3 seed in PSAL Playoffs

The Patriots opened up the League season with a convincing 2 set victory over Bayside HS 25-18, 25-9.  Claudia Lopez lead the way with 5 aces, 4 kills and 4 digs.  Peyton Chen adds 5 assists and 3 digs.

The Patriots continued their winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Flushing HS by the scores of 25-12, 25-9.  Xenia Carrion had 9 assists and Sakena Meite had 3 kills and 2 aces.  The Patriots won the Silver Bracket at the Clarkstown South Tournament defeating Ossining, Albertus Magnus and then Ursuline 30-28 in the finals.  Next the Patriots defeated arch rival Cardozo 25-18, 25-12 to run their record to 3-0. Next the Patriots swept all 4 crossover matches with the Queens IV division.  In between the Patriots placed 2nd in the FLHS Match Play tournament defeating Maspeth, Goldstein and splitting with LuHI in pool play.  Then in a hard fought Semi-final they defeated St. Joseph Hill Academy in 3 sets before losing 2-0 in the final to Townsend Harris. Brianna Lee and Natalyse Cuza were named to the All Tournament Team.  They Patriots won the Cardozo Tournament defeating Townsend Harris in the Semi-final and then Stuyvesant 2-0 in the finals. Alina Tsai was named to the All tournament team and Claudia Lopez was named MVP.  The Patriots had a nice week defeating Bayside 2-0 and then Flushing on on Senior Day 25-4 & 25-8.  In the Lady Patriot Invitational the Patriots defeated Richmond Hill and New Utrecht in pool play but fell to John Jay in the semi-finals in a hard fought match 25-19, 25-19. The Patriots defeated Cardozo 25-14, 25-15 to complete a 10-0 undefeated League Season.  Brianna Lee led the way with 11 kills and Alina Tsai added 9 digs.
