Joelle Desrosiers represented the Patriots in the 2015 Exceptional Senior on Sunday 12/6 at Mapeth High School.  

Joelle his .300 this season overall and the 2nd best season blocking with 65 while finishing her career in 3rd place All Time in blocks with 135.

Single season: Kathleen Huang #2 All Time with 284 digs, Joelle Desrosiers tied for 2nd All Time in blocks with 65 and Danna Diaz #4.

2015 Tournament Results & Information

In 2015 the Lady Patriots hosted 3 tournaments on 9/12. 10/12 & 10/24. They traveled to the KSA Disney tournament in Orlando along with the Scarsdale, Clarkstown South and Horseheads Tournaments. This strong competition helped them in their PSAL play.

On September 2nd the Varsity Girls Volleyball team traveled to Orlando, Florida for the KSA Disney volleyball tournament. The girls were in a pool with teams from Texas, Florida and Alabama. Ten girls represented Francis Lewis in this high level tournament to see how we compare to other teams around the country. 

Disney Tournament

Lady Patriots performed well in their opening tournament of the year at the KSA Disney Tournament. The team went 2-4 and place 2nd in their bracket by defeating Marathon, Fla. and Canajoharie, NY. They had very competitive matches with Gunther and Splendora from Texas, Mortimer Jordan, Ala. and Palm Bay, Fla. The girls enjoyed 3 days of great competition and 5 days visiting the parks and meeting teams from around the southeast. Hopefully the team can return in the future.

PSAL PLAYOFF HIGHLIGHTS 2015

In the PSAL A Playoffs 1ST & 2ND ROUNDS the PATRIOTS DEFEATED WALTON AND AMERICAN STUDIES 2-0.

 

The Patriots then traveled to Hunter H.S. and lost a hard fought match in the Quarterfinals.  They ended the season in the final 8 and an overall record of 17-10.

The Lady Patriots opened regular season play by defeating LI Lutheran 3-1 at Home. Then the Patriots defeated QHST, Bayside,Townsend Harris Cardozo and John Bowne to stand atop Queens A at 5-0 (8-7). At their Match Play tournament they lost to Brooklyn Tech in the semi-finals.

The girls traveled to Westchester for the Scarsdale Tournament. The team went 3-3 in pool play and received the top seed in the Silver Bracket for playoffs but fell to Dobbs Ferry in the semi-final match 18-25, 22-25.

At the Clarkstown South tournament the team went 2-4 in pool play and then defeated Monroe Woodbury in the consolation round to end the day 4-4.

At the Horseheads tournament they lost a close 25-23, 25-21 match to Oneonta in the gold Bracket Finals. This week the team went 2-0 (7-0) defeating QHST and Cardozo in a match where the team never quit and came from behind in both sets winning 29-27 & 25-23 to stand alone in 1st place in the division.

 

On 10/24 they placed second in their own Patriot Invitational defeating Cardozo in the semi-final before losing to Sacred Heart, L.I. in the finals.
